Secure Culture Hub Community Guidelines

The Secure Culture Hub is a space for security awareness practitioners to learn, share, and support each other. Whether you're just getting started or you've been doing this for years, you're welcome here.

We want every member to feel comfortable contributing, asking questions, and being honest about what works and what doesn't. That only happens if people treat each other well. So here's what we expect.

What we expect from members

Everyone using the Secure Culture Hub, including contributors, speakers, and organisers, is expected to behave professionally and treat others with respect. That applies to all activity on the platform: discussions, comments, events, and direct messages.

We don't tolerate harassment of any kind, and we don't tolerate behaviour that would make another member feel unsafe, unwelcome, or unable to participate.

All communication should be appropriate for a professional community made up of people with different backgrounds, experience levels, and perspectives.

The kind of behaviour that makes this community work

  • Being welcoming and inclusive, especially to people newer to the field
  • Respecting different viewpoints and experiences, even when you disagree
  • Accepting constructive feedback without taking it personally
  • Focusing on what helps the community, not just yourself
  • Showing empathy and patience

Behaviour that isn't acceptable

  • Sexualised language or imagery, unwelcome attention, or inappropriate contact
  • Trolling, personal attacks, derogatory comments, or sustained disruption of discussions or events
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or harassing behaviour of any kind
  • Harassment framed as humour or irony
  • Any conduct that would be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Be decent. Don't belittle people. Don't punch down. Everyone here is responsible for their own behaviour.

Prohibited content

Content that is illegal, obscene, or offensive by reasonable professional standards has no place on this platform. This includes text, images, video, and any other material shared through the Secure Culture Hub. Sharing prohibited content will result in removal from the community.

Reporting a concern

If you experience or witness harassment, or have any other concerns about behaviour on the platform, contact us at [email protected] and we will look into it.

Changes and final say

We reserve the right to update these guidelines at any time. Where disputes arise, the Secure Culture Hub team will make the final call. We'll always aim to be fair, but our priority is maintaining a community where people feel safe and supported.
